About the Role

At exxir, design isn't decoration — it's strategy. Our projects sit at the intersection of real estate and hospitality, and the spaces we build carry a point of view. This role owns the architectural vision from concept through construction, ensuring every detail serves both the experience and the bottom line.

Day-to-day, you'll move between schematic design, coordination with engineers and interior designers, municipality submissions, and on-site reviews. You'll carry multiple projects at different stages simultaneously, staying sharp on schedules, budgets, and the quality of what gets built. The work is fast, hands-on, and never theoretical.

The team is small and operates with high trust. You'll have direct access to project leads and ownership, which means your decisions carry real weight — and your voice shapes outcomes from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead the development of technical documentation for large mixed-use and multifamily development projects, as well as small tenant improvement projects.

·       Collaborate closely with the project team, including architects and designers, to finalize interior and exterior programming, design development documents, construction documents, and furnishings selections.

·       Oversee the management of construction administration, ensuring quality control, timely execution, and adherence to project specifications.

·       Demonstrate a keen attention to detail, ensuring the smallest aspects of the design are carefully executed in the field.

·       Manage concurrent projects at various stages of development and construction, providing support as needed for different teams.

·       Work collaboratively with other professionals in a cross-functional environment, ensuring all parties are aligned on the project’s vision and goals.

·       Provide design input and assist in the selection and purchase of interior furnishings and materials.

·       Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and structures, guiding the team through the regulatory approval process.

·       Maintain strong communication with team members, clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure the project moves forward smoothly.

Qualifications:

·       A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in architecture or interior design, with a focus on project management and design development.

·       Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design is preferred.

·       Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit experience is a plus.

·       Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction processes.

·       Exceptional communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

·       Hands-on approach to design and project management, from inception through to completion.

·       A passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces that reflect the unique needs of each community.

·       Prior experience with multifamily, mixed-use, or other large-scale projects is preferred.

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to oversee the execution of design concepts.

What We’re Looking For:

·       A collaborative team player who loves to manage projects from start to finish.

·       A proactive individual who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty in both the design and construction phases.

·       Someone who is enthusiastic about working on high-impact projects that transform neighborhoods and communities.

·       A self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who will go the extra mile to ensure the success of every project.
